Hey! I'm Sophia, a senior Cybersecurity Engineering student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I started with an Associate of Science in Computer Science from SUNY Dutchess, then added a Mathematics minor at UAH.

Professionally, I work as a Systems Administrator at The Spot Clinic, where I secure and maintain healthcare infrastructure across networks, device managemnet and SIP/VoIP systems. I handle provisioning, server maintainence, and practical security controls that have to work in real-world operations with non-techie users.

I have also worked in research environments, including UAH's Autonomous Cognition and Control Lab and Dr. Cheng's Industrial Systems Lab, focused on data pipelines, network analytics, and industrial cybersecurity.

I hold CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, and ISC2 CC. I build with Python, Rust, C/C++, SQL (Postgres mostly), and cloud-native workflows, and I am especially interested in systems security architecture and OT/ICS security. Outside engineering, I am a big sister, a nature person, and I like to draw, which is a nice balance after spending all day arguing with logs.
